Excellence in Masonry Awards
We will celebrate the 31st Annual Excellence in Masonry Architectural Awards at The Scottsdale Resort, McCormick Ranch, on September 30, 2022.
The jury will review all submittal packages the week of July 25th.

Our annual dinner celebrating the apprentices who graduate from our programs each year.

Fastest Trowel
A masonry skills challenge that showcases the best of Arizona's Journeymen Masons alongside their favorite tender.
Registration deadline for all competitors is September 9, 20022.
Competition is held Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Superlite Block - Lone Butte.

Contractor Certification
Continuing education and certification programs raise the bar for quality in masonry construction and provide recognition to individuals and companies who complete certification.

Annual Members' Meeting
Each year, the members of the Association meet as a group to network, learn and advance the growth of the masonry industry throughout the state of Arizona.

Professional Awards
Each year, the Arizona Masonry Council honors the memory and service of Bart Del Duca by presenting this award to an individual who epitomizes Bart’s dedication and service to the masonry industry.

Industry Educational Programs
AMC provides additional educational programs to project owners, engineers, architects, and plan review authorities. Check out the descriptions of some of our standard programs. Contact AMC for more information, to inquire about additional programs, or to schedule a presentation for your team.
Ensure architectural firms’ master masonry specifications are in line with current masonry material standards, code references, terminology and construction practices and include reference to AMG Standard 107 – Levels of Quality and AMG Certified Block Testing Program.
Specification Reviews
AMC will be a resource by providing design assistance, technical service and in some cases project-specific consultation and hands-on training in masonry design software. Our collective goal is to assist owners/designers in the design of the buildings that satisfy building code requirements and design objectives while taking full advantage of the efficiencies of structural masonry.
Engineering Community Resources
Provide designers with guidance on how to design code-compliant and energy-efficient concrete masonry structures utilizing resources like COMcheck and allowable mass wall exemption allowed by code.
Energy Efficient Concrete Masonry Structure Series
Provide building inspectors, plan reviewers and inspectors with the latest information on masonry code changes.
Plan Review & Building Inspector Series
An educational presentation and PR campaign focused on increasing awareness of concrete masonry’s non-combustible properties and its importance in creating affordable, safe and secure structures.
Fire Safety / Non-combustible Systems Programs
Provide A/E/GCs with training on the latest masonry technologies (programs/apps) such as Masonry iQ, Direct Design, Ele Masonry and BIM-M to streamline and simplify designing with concrete masonry.
