About the event

A comprehensive, 3-part course on the fundamentals of masonry materials. You'll  learn the history, manufacturing, terminology and dimensions, properties, specification information, aesthetics and installation of the most common masonry used. 

This is a Required Module for the AMC Certification Program

Instructor: Donald Harvey, Associate VP Atkinson-Noland & Associates

Mr. Donald Harvey, P.E. is Associate Vice President at Atkinson‐Noland & Associates in Boulder, Colorado, a consulting  engineering firm specializing in the evaluation and repair of masonry and historic structures. Mr. Harvey received a  Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Architectural Engineering and Master of Science  Degree in Civil Engineering. He has authored several papers relating to the nondestructive evaluation of structures, masonry material testing, and evaluation methods for existing buildings, and he serves on several ASTM committees related to masonry. Mr. Harvey recently served on the Board of Directors of the Structural Engineers Association of Colorado  (SEAC). He serves as a Technical Consultant for Rocky Mountain Masonry Institute and the Nebraska Masonry Alliance.  He has served as an Adjunct Professor, teaching the masonry structural engineering course at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
