Tender Training Program The AMC Tender Training Program runs 17 consecutive Saturdays a year. This program consists of both classroom instruction and hands on training. Certifying participants in scaffold erection & dismantle, heavy equipment awareness, rigging, OSHA 10, First/CPR, stocking, mixing, shop drawing interpretation, and much more. You must be 18 years old to apply. *Classes are held on Saturdays from 7AM to 10AM from Jan through May. Workforce Development The Arizona Masonry Council develops and implements programs to enhance and sustain a skills-based talent development network that meets the needs of employers, workers, job seekers, and learners for today and tomorrow. Learn More High School and Tech School Programs The Arizona Masonry Council provides several weeks of training to multiple High Schools across the valley and the state each year. These training workshops provide support and journeyman level instruction to more than 200 students annually. Our AMC instructors provide valuable feedback and direction to the High School instructors on lesson plans and lab schedule formats. Membership Apprenticeship National Checkoff Program What is required to become a Member? You must either be a Masonry Contractor with a valid license from the Arizona Registrar of Contractors or a company that is directly involved with or can provide services to the masonry industry. Membership applications from companies outside of the masonry industry will not be accepted. Once your application has been received, it is forwarded to the Board of Directors and they vote on your membership. You are notified of the results within five business days of submitting your application. Why does the Board of Directors need to approve my membership? To maintain the integrity of the association, the Board of Directors reviews each membership application, verifying that the prospective member is actively involved in the masonry industry, is a reputable company and, when appropriate, holds a current masonry license. What does it cost to become a Member? Contractors, Producers & Suppliers (lime/block/brick/stone) Under $1 Million: $950/year Over $1 Million: $1.750/year This also includes membership in the Masonry Contractors Association of America (MCAA) Affiliate Members: $750/year (MCAA Membership not Included) Trainer or Technical or Professional: $150/year (MCAA Membership not Included) Cement Manufacturers: $.40/ton of masonry cement (monthly or quarterly)
