Can be residential, commercial, monuments/entry ways or architectural perimeter walls. Completed within the last 5 years (see rules for exact dates). Masonry must be a “predominant component” of the project. Masonry veneer projects without structural masonry (Masonry veneer must be the prominent system being used/shown). Tender Training Program The AMC Tender Training Program runs 17 consecutive Saturdays a year. This program consists of both classroom instruction and hands on training. Certifying participants in scaffold erection & dismantle, heavy equipment awareness, rigging, OSHA 10, First/CPR, stocking, mixing, shop drawing interpretation, and much more. You must be 18 years old to apply. *Classes are held on Saturdays from 7AM to 10AM from Jan through May. Workforce Development The Arizona Masonry Council develops and implements programs to enhance and sustain a skills-based talent development network that meets the needs of employers, workers, job seekers, and learners for today and tomorrow. Also See Our Educational Activities Visit Our Job Board Workforce Development Programs Apprenticeship Program Apprenticeship helps to maintain the quality of the Masonry profession by providing certified skills through a standardized process. Programs are available in Central, Southern, and Northern Arizona. Learn More Tender Training Program AMC runs a tender training program in both Central and Southern Arizona. The program runs 17 consecutive Saturdays each year and consists of both classroom and hands-on instruction. Learn More Leadership Development Program Coming Soon! AMC will be launching its new Leadership Development Program later in 2023. The program will include classroom and interactive instruction, teaching current and developing foremen the skills needed to be a successful leader and a productive part of their company. Objectives include basic hydraulics, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and electrical control systems. Learn More High School and Tech School Programs The Arizona Masonry Council provides several weeks of training to multiple High Schools across the valley and the state each year. These training workshops provide support and journeyman level instruction to more than 200 students annually. Our AMC instructors provide valuable feedback and direction to the High School instructors on lesson plans and lab schedule formats.
